Natural look…

One thing we like is that it has a natural look to it, so it won’t look out of place in your yard. It’s made out of Polypropelene and also features a specially reinforced floor. It’s fully waterproof, too, so you’ll have no issues with the elements getting to your bikes.

Another issue you won’t have a problem with is maintenance. Happily, unlike real wood, this is a maintenance-free shed. The paintbrushes and materials can, therefore, be left firmly locked away.

One catch…

Although there is plenty of room for two bikes, access to both can be a little awkward at times. To take the bicycles out of the shed, you can either get to them through the front doors or simply lift the roof panel. Access via the roof panel is a breeze, thanks to its gas shock hinge.

Getting the first bike out is no problem at all. However, it’s the second bike that causes all the problems. If you only want to take out the bike at the back, you won’t be able to do it. You’ll have to remove the other bike first.

This has a lot of the same great qualities as the previous Suncast storage shed we reviewed earlier. We like its natural look and the fact that it’s entirely maintenance-free. Made from Polypropelene, the fact is that this will never need painting, and it’s guaranteed never to rot or deteriorate.

Now that’s a good start.

We like the easy lift lid and the doors that open through a full 180 degrees. Finally, being able to lock all three doors together, using just a single padlock, is a definite security plus.

So, what about the negatives?

Unfortunately, the main criticism comes down to its size. It has a storage capacity of just 34 cubic feet. That’s over half of the storage capacity compared to the Suncast 5′ x 3′ Horizontal Stow-Away Storage Shed we reviewed earlier.

This 34 cubic-inch shed measures just 53″ wide, which is our biggest issue. It’s a great size to get two outdoor garbage cans inside, but it’s not so suitable for bikes. The lack of length leaves it too short to get in a standard-sized bike.

If you have a standard-sized bike, you will need to take off the front wheel for it to fit inside. It would be possible to squeeze two bikes in, but it would be very tight. Obviously, for regular bike users, this is a very poor option.

This is really best for kids’ bikes…

The only realistic way this can be used as an outdoor bicycle storage shed is if you want to store your kids’ bikes. Under these circumstances, you will be able to fit a pair of bikes in relatively easily.

This is a great storage shed, but we just wish it was between six to twelve inches longer. However, if you’re specifically looking to store kids’ bikes, this may be the best (and space-saving) option for you.

This should be considered as a three seasons option. In heavy rain, wind, or snow, it might be found wanting. Given the very low price-point, it’s of little surprise. More positively, it does have a ventilation window to keep the air moving around in more humid conditions.

Sadly, like most of these kinds of fabric storage sheds, one of the key weaknesses is the lack of any security. Since it has a sewn-in floor and no holes are provided to pass through locks, it scores poorly in this area.

But trust us, it’s a lot.

Of course, the catch is…

Erecting the shed does take a little bit of time, and it’s not as easy as putting up as other fabric-based storage sheds. Security

Security is always a big issue wherever you have to take or store your bikes. If you have to leave them outside, they are undoubtedly more vulnerable, so we’d always recommend having an extra layer of security to keep your bikes safe.
