1 DROK 180038 Digital Voltage 10-170 ℉ Temperature Monitor Tester Multimeter – Best Affordable Motorcycle Thermometer and Voltmeter

In the heat of the moment

First in line is this motorcycle digital thermometer from DROK, who are well known to many technologically minded riders. They’re noted for manufacturing a wide variety of electrical devices at an extremely reasonable cost.

But do they sacrifice quality for price?

Absolutely not! This is a really handy little item. Here’s why…

This is not just a thermometer. It’s a voltage monitor as well. Simply plug it in, and the digital display lights up to give the rider a straightforward reading. And speaking of the display, it’s incredibly clear. There are no tricky to read parts, or distracting visuals on the screen. The LEDs light up in either red and blue, one color for the temperature and one for the voltage.

Is it accurate?

Absolutely. A delicate sensor sees to that. And the best part is that this sensor is flexible, so it can be bent out of the way to avoid direct sunlight.

At just 1.59 ounces, this is a tiny gadget! But its diminutive size shouldn’t be underestimated. With a first-rate plastic casing, it’s tough and shouldn’t crack in the event of a fall. In fact, we actually love how small it is! It means it can nestle unobtrusively on the motorcycle. This isn’t meant to be a flashy bit of gear, so we don’t want it to detract from the overall look of the bike.

OK, it’s a bit basic to look at. It’s not a fancy device. There are more interesting designs out there.

But at this price, do we really care?

This is an awesome, budget-friendly option. And we love having that voltage testing feature too.

DROK 180038 Digital Voltage 10-170 Temperature Monitor Tester Multimeter

Our rating:4.6 out of 5 stars (4.6 / 5)

Pros

  • Two-in-one thermometer and voltage tester.
  • Uncomplicated LED display.
  • Accurate sensor.

Cons

  • Basic design.

2 WINOMO 2pcs Motorcycle Handlebar Clock and Thermometer – Best Retro Motorcycle Thermometer and Clock

The way that she moves, the thermometer grooves

Up next, we have this motorcycle handlebar thermometer. This comes with two 1.2 by 1-inch rings that allow us to install the thermometer on the bars with no drilling or fuss.

We actually get two items for the price here. First, as expected, is an accurate thermometer. But then an independent clock is included as well. Having these two parts separated is really useful, as it ensures we won’t mix up the displays, as well as providing symmetry on the front of the bike.

How do they look?

Thanks to a silver-colored casing, these have some major retro vibes. They just exude old-school cool! They’re bound to look the part on any classic motorcycle, so Royal Enfield riders; this might be the product for you!

And that casing is sturdy as well. An aluminum alloy takes care of that. Plus, it’s waterproof and corrosion-resistant, so can be used in any weather.

Is it easy to read?

Yes. In fact, we love the display here. Instead of LEDs, there are time-honored dials, which really add to that awesome, 1920’s style. However, at night, it’s a different story. Though they have backlighting, it’s not bright enough. When riding in the dark, there’s little chance of being able to see the display.

Which is a shame, because otherwise, these are great! They’re accurate, easy to install, and they look fantastic too. All that, and at a pretty economical price!

WINOMO 2pcs Motorcycle Handlebar Clock and Thermometer

Our rating:3.8 out of 5 stars (3.8 / 5)

Pros

  • Vintage chic.
  • Thermometer and clock.
  • Good weather resistant qualities.

Cons

  • Difficult to view in the dark.

3 TESWNE7/8″ 1″ Motorcycle Handlebar Chrome White Dial Clock and Thermometer – Most Durable Motorcycle Thermometer and Clock

Hot wheels!

Now for another two-piece set. Here we get a thermometer and a clock. They sit on any 7/8 to 1 inch set of handlebars, held firmly in place by a couple of rings.

Easy install…

It couldn’t be simpler to install them. All that’s needed is an Allen key, and handily, one is included! So, there’s no need to go searching through the toolbox to find one that’s the correct size.

Both waterproof and shock-resistant, this product is extremely durable. Even in the worst conditions, we won’t find any moisture seeping in. Plus, it should continue working even after a high-impact fall.

How can this be?

Well, we have the casing to thank for that. Constructed from aluminum alloy, it’s also backed up by chrome plating. Not only is it strong and sturdy, but it also looks pretty slick too.

And that strength is reflected in the weight. This is a hefty item. Weighing 5.6 ounces, it has far more substance than we’d usually expect from such a small item.

So far, so good! But what’s the catch?

Unfortunately, it isn’t the most accurate we’ve seen. The sensor is temperamental. Most of the time, it works well, but in some instances, it can be unreliable. The battery in the clock has issues, too. It has quite a short life. It will need to be changed fairly often, which can be time-consuming and irritating.

So, there are ups and downs. But we see far more ups! It’s a great-looking piece of kit that won’t break the bank.

TESWNE7/8 1 Motorcycle Handlebar Chrome White Dial Clock and Thermometer

Our rating:3.7 out of 5 stars (3.7 / 5)

Pros

  • Tough, stylish casing.
  • Clear dial display.
  • Easy installation.

Cons

  • Inconsistent.
  • Short battery life.

4 WonVon Motorcycle LED Voltage Meter Clock – Best Motorcycle 3 in 1 Thermometer

Three is the magic number

The next item in this review of the best motorcycle thermometers has some impressive features. Not only can it tell the temperature, but there are a voltage counter and a clock here too. That’s three awesome elements all in one device!

But do they work?

Let’s start with the thermometer. It has fantastic accuracy. The temperature is clearly displayed, allowing the biker to judge the ride ahead. Next, there’s that voltage checker. Once plugged in, it continually shows the voltage as we’re riding. This way, we can monitor the battery for maximum safety on the road.

And then we come to the clock. It works perfectly. It tells the time in the 24-hour format, removing the need to stop and check a phone or watch. All this information is conveyed with a digital display. LED-lit, it can be clearly seen day or night. And as those lights are color-coded, there’s no chance of mixing up the different readings.

Is it complicated to install?

No, not at all. Despite all these features, it’s actually very straightforward to fit. Plus, it comes with a plain-speaking manual and an installation kit for total convenience.

This all sounds too good to be true! Is it?

Well, we can’t deny that it isn’t the best-looking one we’ve checked out, and the design is a little clunky. Plus, it’s larger than many others, so it can seem bulky on smaller bikes.

That aside, this is a superb option! Not only does it have a plethora of incredible qualities, but it’s also extremely easy on the old purse strings. Plus, are looks really that important anyway?

WonVon Motorcycle LED Voltage Meter Clock

Our rating:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

Pros

  • Combination thermometer/clock/voltage monitor.
  • Impressive display.
  • Quick installation.

Cons

  • Lacks style.

5 Waterproof Night Vision Motorcycle Meter LED Digital Display – Best Motorcycle Thermometer for Harley Davidsons

The heat is on

Now for another triple threat. Once again, we have a combination thermometer, voltage tester, and clock. This all-in-one device sits on the handlebars or can be installed elsewhere using the included bolt.

This one is big! Weighing in at 5.9 ounces, this is a weighty item. That means the display is massive, giving an unimpeded view of the various readings. However, the downside is that it’s a little intrusive. It really draws attention to itself. On smaller bikes, it would need to be hidden behind a mirror; otherwise, it will look a bit clunky.

Does it work well?

It does! This temperature gauge is exact to within a couple of degrees. And it can be adjusted to display information in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. The clock is great, too. It tells the time using the 24-hour format. Combined with the volt counter, it makes this gadget a real contender for the title of best in show.

But when it comes to installation, we run into trouble. It’s connected to the battery with a 25-inch cable. Unfortunately, that just isn’t long enough for many motorcycles. Plus, the instructions are maddening! They’re not clear at all! It would be easy to wire this incorrectly, which could cause real problems as soon as the bike is switched on.

Is it the best motorcycle digital thermometer?

Probably not. But it’s still a decent option. Big enough that it won’t look out of place on a fully dressed Road King, this could be a fantastic choice for Harley riders.

Waterproof Night Vision Motorcycle Meter LED Digital Display

Our rating:3.6 out of 5 stars (3.6 / 5)

Pros

  • Multi-function.
  • Huge display.
  • Accurate readings.

Cons

  • Issues with the installation.

6 MASO 2pcs 7/8 Inch Motorcycle Handlebar Clock and Thermometer – Best Looking Motorcycle Thermometer and Clock

In the heat of the moment

Constructed from an aluminum alloy, the penultimate thermometer in this review has a rugged charm! At just 1.57 by 1.37 inches, it’s a pocket-sized product. But don’t let its diminutive design fool you! This is a hard hitter.

That alloy is a force to be reckoned with. Incredibly durable, it has shock resistant properties for protection against those unfortunate falls. It’s also waterproof, so it won’t go wrong even in a heavy storm.

What’s included?

This is another combination set. Here, we get a clock as well as the temperature gauge. And they’re not combined in one device; this is two separate pieces, which makes it more aesthetically pleasing! It adds a sense of symmetry to the bike. Most other parts on the handlebars are symmetrical, and this product mimics that arrangement.

This is another thermometer without a digital display. Instead, retro dials give us the information we need. In gleaming white on a black background, they stand out well and allow the measurements to be read with ease.

However, they’re tricky to see at night. There’s no backlight here. Yes, the dials are luminous, but they’re not really bright enough in the dark.

What else?

While the clock works well, the thermometer itself doesn’t! Sometimes, the needle on that dial just won’t move. There’s not much point in having a thermometer that can’t tell the temperature, is there?

MASO 2pcs 7/8 Inch Motorcycle Handlebar Clock and Thermometer

Our rating:3.3 out of 5 stars (3.3 / 5)

Pros

  • Old-fashioned chic.
  • Hardy aluminum case.
  • Clock and thermometer combination.

Cons

  • Inconsistent thermometer.
  • Poorly lit.

7 DROK Digital Thermometer – Best Budget Digital Motorcycle Thermometer

The heat is rising

We started with a DROK product, so we’ll finish with one as well. Our final thermometer comes from everyone’s favorite budget brand.

Could this economical item be the best motorcycle thermometer around?

Connected to the battery, this one has an incredibly wide input voltage range. In fact, it goes from DC 4 up to 28 volts. It can be used for a whole variety of different occasions, not just on a motorcycle.

And it has a massive temperature spectrum as well. Starting at a chilly -50 Celsius, it ranges all the way up to 125 degrees! Yeah, we know; it’s unlikely to reach that kind of heat on a bike! But it does mean it can be adapted for use under other circumstances.

Wait, Celsius? I use Fahrenheit!

Unlike many others, this thermometer cannot change between the two types of measurements. This one is Celsius only. It could cause confusion if you’re not used to this temperature rating.

Does it have any special features?

There’s no clock or voltage meter included, but it does have two metal temperature sensors. It displays the conditions both indoors and out, helping us to make better decisions when planning rest stops on a route.

Those two measurements are displayed on an LED screen. Color-coded, it’s impossible to confuse the readings and make a mistake. Plus, that display is enormous, for top-notch visibility even in bad conditions.

Simplicity is often the best option…

This is a basic model. But it does work really well! It’s highly accurate and incredibly clear. In a world where everything is so high-tech and complicated, sometimes simplicity is best.

DROK Digital Thermometer

Our rating:4 out of 5 stars (4 / 5)

Pros

  • Incredible price.
  • Fantastic display.
  • Can take two temperatures at once.

Cons

  • Celsius only!
  • No extra functions.

Best Motorcycle Thermometers Buying Guide

Best Motorcycle Thermometers Review

Why do we need a motorcycle thermometer?

Well, if you think about it, the temperature we feel when moving does not accurately reflect the actual temperature in the air. With that wind rushing against us, it’s difficult to make a reasonable estimate about the temperature.

A thermometer solves this problem. A proper climate reading can help when it comes to making judgment calls. Knowing the exact temperature means riders can make educated decisions when planning the route ahead.

So, what should we look for when buying one of the best thermometers for motorcycles?

Accuracy has to be paramount, and the sensor needs to be exact. A couple of degrees off is fine, but any more than that, and it’s too unreliable to be trusted.

Plus, if the sensor isn’t built-in, then it needs to be adjustable. It shouldn’t be sitting in direct sunlight. If it is, it could give an incorrect reading, making the temperature appear hotter than it really is.

Next, consider the display. Is it clear and easy to read?

LEDs are perfect for this, as they can be seen in both bright and low light and are usually color-coded too.

A dial display can also work, with a couple of conditions. The text and numbers need to be big enough, so we’re not taking our eyes off the road to squint at them. They also need to have some kind of effective backlighting; otherwise, they’re useless when riding at night.

The casing is really important, too. That protective shell needs to be solid and durable, as well as also being water and corrosion resistant, for riding in inclement weather.

Does the best motorbike thermometer have any other functions?

We hope so! A clock would be extremely useful. It’s difficult to check a watch when wearing bike gear, and pulling over to look at a phone is inconvenient.

Or perhaps you’d prefer a voltage meter? These are great! They allow the rider to keep an eye on the battery, avoiding potential safety issues.

How is it attached to the bike?

A handlebar fitting is usually best. That way, we can briefly glance down without taking our eyes off the road for too long. Rings or bolts should be included with the product for easy installation.

And the instructions for doing so need to be clear. For those with voltage monitors, wiring it in can be a daunting task! It has to come with a straightforward manual that competently describes the process.

Then finally, we have to talk about price. Sure, no one wants to spend a fortune! But that doesn’t mean going for the cheapest option either. High quality often costs more, so choose the thermometer that offers the most bang for your buck.

So, what are the Best Motorcycle Thermometers?

Every product in this review had a lot of positive aspects, and, in fact, it’s difficult to choose the best! But ultimately, we’ve gone for the…

WonVon Motorcycle LED Voltage Meter Clock

This offers the best value for money so it won’t break the bank but is amazingly good quality. Plus, it’s super accurate, for total peace of mind.

Sure, it’s not a stunning as some of the chrome-plated options, but that doesn’t mean it looks bad. And with the included voltage monitor and clock, it’s far more useful than a flashy product that trades standards for design.

So, happy riding, folks!
