1 A&H Apparel Leather Motorcycle Glove Genuine Cowhide Fingerless Leather Driving Gloves – Best Bargain Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves

Five finger discount

First up is one for the bargain hunters out there. This pair of gloves is extremely budget-friendly. We all know how expensive motorcycle gear can be, so the price tag here was a nice surprise.

But does low-cost also mean low quality?

Let’s start with construction. These gloves are made from genuine cowhide. Soft and supple, they move with the hand, giving the rider complete freedom of movement. But soft doesn’t equal weak! Cowhide is sturdy stuff. The material is extremely durable and should hold up in the event of a fall.

That leather has another benefit. It ensures a comfortable yet snug fit. And it’s backed up by a Velcro strap to keep the glove in place.

Do they have much ventilation?

You bet they do! The entire hand gets an easy breeze flowing through, thanks to a large number of ventilation points. There’s a larger vent by the wrist too, which helps the air in as well as looking aesthetically pleasing.

And how about defense?

The palm of the hand is well-protected. We have a gel pad to thank for that. It’ll cushion the blow during a fall and help to disperse the impact.

However, the back of the hand is a different story…

Remember those ventilation points we mentioned earlier? Some of them are across the knuckle. There’s absolutely no protection of any kind on this part of the body.

This is a shame because otherwise, this is a nifty pair of gloves. They’re well-padded, well-ventilated, and well-constructed. And in time-honored black, they look pretty cool, too.

A&H Apparel Leather Motorcycle Glove Genuine Cowhide Fingerless Leather Driving Gloves

Our rating:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

Pros

  • Gentle cowhide.
  • Great ventilation.
  • Secure fit.

Cons

  • No knuckle protection.

2 Shaf International SH851-BLK-XL Deer Skin Fingerless Gloves with Gel Padded Palm – Best Deer Skin Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves

He ain’t heavy, he’s my glove-r

Second in line are these Shaf International gloves. This pair is a little different from many of the best fingerless motorcycle gloves on the market today. They are made from deerskin.

Why does that matter?

Because deerskin has some awesome qualities! It does an incredible job in wet weather. It’s waterproof and flexible, not to mention abrasion-resistant.

Plus, it dries really well. Wet cowhide can become stiff after it dries, but that’s not the case here. Deerskin remains gentle and pliable, meaning we don’t lose any range of movement.

So far, so good! What else?

They’re extremely well made. The stitching is fantastic and holds that awesome deer hide together, with little chance of fraying or tearing.

The ventilation system is fantastic, too. You won’t get sweaty and uncomfortable with this option. The back is covered in ventilation pinpricks to let the air rush through.

Sounds great! But what’s the catch?

Unfortunately, these gloves let themselves down when it comes to protection. There’s absolutely no material over the knuckles, leaving them completely exposed.

And while there is some gel padding on the palm, there isn’t enough of it. They’re really lacking in this department. We wouldn’t feel confident in them when taking a hit at high speeds.

So, there are ups and downs. But we see far more ups!

Shaf International SH851-BLK-XL Deer Skin Fingerless Gloves with Gel Padded Palm

Our rating:4.4 out of 5 stars (4.4 / 5)

Pros

  • Beautiful construction
  • Strong airflow.
  • Fast drying.

Cons

  • Lacks protective features.

3 FREETOO Tactical Gloves for Men Military Airsoft Gloves – Best Tactical Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves

Tactical and tactile

Ever dreamed of joining up? Have a burning desire to defend your country? Then maybe these tactical style gloves are for you!

These were originally developed with the police and armed forces in mind. Military personnel need a glove that’s strong, durable, and offers great traction. And that’s exactly what FREETOO have tried to make here.

So, are they as tough as they seem?

These gloves are made from purely manmade materials. On the palm, we find a dual-layer covering of synthetic leather. The fingers and back of the hand are constructed from a nylon mesh blend.

That means that these gloves have an amazing amount of grip! That fake leather sees to that. You won’t find your hands sliding off the handlebars, even on rainy days.

How about comfort?

Never fear; sturdy and tough does not equal uncomfortable! The nylon mesh is gentle against the skin and won’t chafe. Plus, it’s super flexible and won’t compromise your movement.

It’s breathable as well. The material allows a decent flow of air. And it’s supported by small yet functional vents to really prevent overheating.

What’s the best part?

They have knuckle protection! Molded rubber covers this section to provide a line defense against impact. It truly gives the rider extra peace of mind, knowing that the back of the hand is well protected.

It would be nice to have some padding on the palm, though. That leather stands up well to abrasions but won’t absorb much of the impact. We’d like a gel or even cloth pad there, too.

Any other issues?

Be careful with sizing! These do run a little big. We’d recommend checking the sizing chart carefully before purchasing.

FREETOO Tactical Gloves for Men Military Airsoft Gloves

Our rating:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

Pros

  • Modern military vibes.
  • Hard armor on the back.
  • Flexible and comfortable.

Cons

  • No palm padding.
  • Oversized.

4 TitanOPS Fingerless Hard Knuckle Motorcycle Military Tactical Combat Training Army Shooting Outdoor Gloves – Most Flexible Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves

Tacti-cool

Be prepared for anything with our next pair of gloves! This is another military style option. And with their desert storm hues, you’ll really look the part!

How’s the construction?

We get a whole mix of materials this time! Microfiber, synthetic leather, Lycra; it’s all here. And each of those fabrics has its own story to tell. The leather lends durability to the glove. Yes, it’s soft, but it’s also incredibly sturdy. It’ll help keep water out, too.

The microfiber adds to that. It’s fast drying, meaning even if you do get wet, then it won’t be for long. Plus, it’s breathable, as well as being extremely flexible.

And that flexibility is increased through the use of Lycra. We know Lycra is what gymnasts and ballet dancers wear! But it’s actually a seriously useful material to have when it comes to suppleness and strength.

And what about protection?

This time, it’s in the form of molded plastic. It’s hard enough to take a knock, even at higher speeds. It should prevent skinned or broken knuckles, offering a degree of confidence we don’t always find even in the most expensive fingerless motorcycle gloves.

The palm, like many others, is leather. As we mentioned earlier, this is great when it comes to cuts and scrapes! However, we’d prefer to see a bit of padding in there too.

There’s a lot to like here. The knuckle armor is awesome, and the construction is great. It’s a shame that lack of padding lets this option down.

TitanOPS Fingerless Hard Knuckle Motorcycle Military Tactical Combat Training Army Shooting Outdoor Gloves

Our rating:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

Pros

  • Tough and sturdy.
  • Practical blend of materials.
  • Breathable.

Cons

  • No palm defense.

5 HANDLANDY Fingerless Work Gloves for Men – Best Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves for Sports Bikes

Red right hand

With a flash of eye-catching red on a base of classic black, these next gloves are definitely a talking point. They’re sure to turn heads wherever you go! With their modern good looks, we think they’d look fantastic on any sport bike rider.

Are they as good as they look?

Flexibility is the watchword when it comes to this option. These gloves are incredibly lightweight and malleable. The material used is super soft and stretchy, so it won’t hinder how your hands move.

That’s because they’re made from a combination of fabrics. We get spandex across the back of the hand for awesome elasticity. The palm is constructed from our old friend synthetic leather, which offers an increased grip.

What if we get hot?

No problem! That spandex is totally breathable to keep the hands completely cool. Plus, the thumb is made of terry cloth for wiping away sweat on those sweltering hot days out on Route 66.

There’s no ventilation system in place, though. They rely on the breathable fabric to keep the heat out. Sure, it works OK, but it can only do so much.

How about the fit?

That’s where these gloves really come into their own. The fit is superb. And the TPR wrist closure ensures they’ll cling to your hand, almost like a second skin.

Yet when it’s time to take them off, we don’t have to wrestle. This product uses anti-slip pulling technology. They’ll stay put when in use but can easily be removed after a ride.

Once again, there’s no hard armor in place. But otherwise, this an option worth considering. And at a very reasonable price, too.

HANDLANDY Fingerless Work Gloves for Men

Our rating:4.6 out of 5 stars (4.6 / 5)

Pros

  • Striking colors.
  • Sweatband on the thumb.
  • Perfect fit.

Cons

  • No armor.
  • Limited ventilation.

6 Joe Rocket – 1340-1004 Vento Men’s Fingerless Motorcycle Riding Gloves – Best Value for the Money Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves

Pocket rocket

Now we come to an entry from the iconic Joe Rocket brand. Every biker has heard of Joe Rocket, right? They’re well-known for producing awesome motorcycle gear at low prices.

Can this option live up to their reputation?

Comfort is the name of the game this time around. Using Freeair mesh, Joe Rocket has managed to come up with a product that’s as light as a feather. Not only is it extremely gentle, but it also has amazing airflow as well.

On top of that mesh are various leather sections. The palm is entirely covered for increased grip and abrasion resistance. There’s also a strip across the knuckles to help support them during an accident.

So, they have knuckle protection?

Well, sort of. That leather does help out and will provide a bit of backup in a time of need. It’s no match for hard rubber or plastic, though.

But they do have padding inside the palm. There’s a vibration dissipation panel made from gel. This is a real bonus, both during an accident and when riding on the highway.

Why?

Because it absorbs the bike’s vibrations, this makes the journey much easier on the rider. You won’t find your hands or arms going dead, even on lengthy trips.

That’s great! Is there anything else?

Yes. They’re pre-curved. When it comes to comfort, Joe Rocket really has thought of everything!

  • Curved fit.

7 Hugger Full Finger Fingerless Black Deer Soft Leather Gloves w/ Gel Padded Palms – Best Leather Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves

I wanna hold your hand

Our penultimate option is a natural leather product. This is another pair made from deerskin. Not only are they both pliable and strong, they’re stunning to look at as well.

Let’s start with the best part…

The palm contains a gel pad. It disperses vibrations caused by the engines and absorbs the impact of potholes in the road. It really helps with muscle fatigue or hands and fingers becoming numb.

It’s really thick, too. In fact, the same could be said for everything on this glove. The leather isn’t thin as we sometimes see in other products; it has some serious heft to it.

That should help with protection, shouldn’t it?

It sure does. It might not be as effective as a solid piece of plastic, but it’s a lot better than a product with just a thin layer. Hey, every little helps!

There is a downside to using leather, though. It has a tendency to get very sweaty. This causes it to cling to the skin, and it can get pretty smelly too!

Don’t worry!

Between the fingers are a couple of loops. Use them to pull off the gloves. This handy little feature is super convenient, as it allows for quick removal.

We can’t help you with the smell, though. There’s absolutely no ventilation here. Air can get in at the top and the bottom, but that’s your lot, we’re afraid.

Superb value…

This set offers some serious value for money. Plus, they come with a 12-month warranty that even covers size changes. It’s just unfortunate about the lack of ventilation.

Hugger Full Finger Fingerless Black Deer Soft Leather Gloves w/ Gel Padded Palms

Our rating:4.6 out of 5 stars (4.6 / 5)

Pros

  • One-year warranty.
  • Vibration dispersion.
  • Wonderfully thick leather.

Cons

  • Zero airflow.

8 Mechanix Wear: M-Pact Covert Fingerless Tactical Work Gloves – Most Durable Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves

Take my hand

At last, we come to our final option. Less old-school cool, more rugged, and modern, this pair sure look like the real deal.

Are they?

The devil is in the details with these gloves. There are so many aspects to look at it’s hard to know where to start. So, let’s begin with the fabric. It’s amazingly dexterous. There’s no restricted movement here. With high level of elasticity, it lets the rider fully extend their hand without any hindrance.

The base layer is covered on the palm by Armortex reinforcement. This material has two functions. It defends against abrasions during a fall and helps to relieve muscle strain by absorbing some of the stress on the hand. It’s backed up by padding, too. Made from D30 material, the pad supports and strengthens the shock absorption. It also adds a level of comfort for those really long rides.

And across the knuckles?

Yes! There’s hard armor in place! A thick piece of rubber protects us from any nasty accidents.

That rubber stretches all the up to the middle knuckle. So, not only are your knuckles safe, your lower fingers are, too. It’s a level of protection we don’t always see, but we’re pleased to have it here.

Are there any downsides?

We’re struggling to find any. We are so impressed by those defensive features that it’s really hard to find any issues. The rubber even has a layer of EVA foam inside for even more protection.

All that, and at a wallet-friendly price!

Mechanix Wear: M-Pact Covert Fingerless Tactical Work Gloves

Our rating:4.6 out of 5 stars (4.6 / 5)

Pros

  • Fantastic protection.
  • Sturdy and strong.
  • Machine-washable.

Cons

  • We’re drawing a blank here!

Best Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves Buying Guide

Best Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves Buying Guide

Choosing the right motorcycle gear is never easy. There’s such a huge range of options out there that picking just one is a daunting task! So, what should we consider when looking at the best fingerless motorbike gloves?

Let’s talk construction…

Leather is classic. It just exudes old-school cool vibes! And not only does it look good, but it also has some impressive qualities too. Whether natural or artificial, leather is usually extremely hardy. It won’t rip or tear, so should protect the rider against abrasions. Plus, it repels water, so it’s perfect for a rainy day.

Some leathers do better than others in the wet, though! Deerskin and synthetic options both have the edge over cowhide. They dry faster and remain softer after they’ve dried as well.

Modern vibes…

Or maybe you’d prefer a more modern look. In that case, there are plenty of non-natural options available. Make sure it’s a comfortable material that won’t chafe around the wrist.

Whichever choice you make, the fabric has to have a decent amount of flexibility. Sure, it needs a snug fit, but it can’t be too tight. The material should be supple enough that it won’t affect your movement.

Next, we have to think about protection…

We can’t expect fingerless gloves to offer the same level as full hand options! But they still need some kind of armor. We really want something hard, such as rubber or plastic, over the knuckles.

The palm needs protection, too. Taking the full force of the impact directly onto the hands is no joke. Find a pair that have padding to disperse the blow.

And what about ventilation?

Well, we need some! There’s no point in relying solely on the lack of fingers to keep you cool. The gloves have got to have a system in place, whether full vents or multiple pinpricks over the back of the hand.

And as for the other side of the hand, we want to see some grip. You can expect this to be made of leather. It has to prevent fingers from slipping off the handlebars and losing control in bad weather.

Oh, and one more thing…

Motorcycle gear is often expensive. That can’t be avoided. So, when it comes to small items like gloves, it can be tempting to go for the cheapest option.

However, it’s usually cheap for a reason! We think it’s worth spending a couple of extra dollars to make sure you get something of decent quality. Remember, as, with so many things in life, you get what you pay for.

So, which of these Best Fingerless Motorcycle Gloves will we be wearing?

We saw some awesome options on offer here in this review. But there can only be one winner. We’ve chosen the…

Mechanix Wear: M-Pact Covert Fingerless Tactical Work Gloves

There’s nothing we don’t like about these gloves. Their durability, their knuckle defense, their flexibility; everything here impressed us. We were even wowed by the palm pad, with its vibration absorbing capabilities.

It’s rare to see an item this good for such a reasonable price. No, it wasn’t the cheapest we saw. But it definitely offered the most bang for our buck.

So, happy riding, folks!
