After we installed this kit, we went for a rather long drive around town. However, on our way back, we started to notice some rattling sounds coming from the fender. While we were confident that we had tightened absolutely everything correctly, we noticed that some of the bolts had come loose during the course of our ride.
By no means was the fender about to fall off, but we were still concerned, nonetheless. We would recommend using a thread sealer when tightening everything together just to be on the safe side.

New Rage Cycles’ Fender Eliminator is a super-compact option for Yamaha R6 bikes from 2017 onward. You will barely even notice this fender eliminator kit when it is mounted on your bike.
Angling…
When this is installed on your bike, your license plate will be angled upwards. It almost lays flat underneath where your pillion seat is.
Your license plate will actually be a tad bit more difficult for others to see as you ride down the road. New Rage Cycles has considered this and integrated a small LED light to help illuminate your plate and increase its overall visibility.
Also, on hand are two skinny LED turn signals. These turn signals are yellow in color and flow seamlessly around the rear of the fender eliminator.
That’s not all…
This fender kit is incredibly easy to install in only eleven steps. You’ll only need a screwdriver and some pliers. You also get OEM wiring adaptors that will plug directly into your stock wiring harness, so you do not need to worry about splicing the factory wiring.

This fender eliminator is made from 2mm sheet iron, and it is finished in a black epoxy that is highly resistant to rust.
Adjustability…
Located on the sides of the license plate mounting bracket are two screws. These screws allow you to adjust the angle at which your license plate is positioned. We found this particularly useful, especially if you were to modify the height of your bike. This can make your license plate more challenging to see, and fortunately, this eliminates that problem.

Installing this product is relatively straightforward. You will only need a few tools on hand for tightening down the screws and bolts.

If you own a CB500X from 2013 to 2019 or a CB500F from 2013 to 2015, do not feel left out. This kit will mount on to those bike models as well.
This kit comes in two main pieces. You will have an ABS molded plastic tail unit and an epoxy covered aluminum license bracket that attach to one another.
Installing time…
When it comes time to install this fender eliminator, make sure you have a good hour to an hour and a half to spare. You will need to split your OEM wiring harness to accommodate your turn signals, and the stock turn signals can then be attached directly to the sides of this kit.
R&G has also integrated a number plate light right into the tail unit.
A few tips…
Based on further research, we have found out that some of the OEM wirings have been colored incorrectly. So, after you attach the wiring according to the instructions, if the turn signals do not work, just swap the connections.
While the wiring might trip you up, there is an even more significant concern when installing this fender eliminator.
When you remove your OEM fender, there will be a metal support bracket hanging down the rear of your bike. You will need to cut off a section of this with a hacksaw or a Dremel tool, for example. But, the precise length at which to cut this is provided in the instruction manual.
