It provides up to 1700 amps of peak power and can start numerous vehicles without needing to be recharged.

On the outside of the heavy-duty case, you will find a voltmeter, letting you know how much juice the jump starter has. Next to that, you have an easy to read indicator telling you if the battery is charging or full. To charge this jump starter, you have a two-prong male connection on hand.

Super simple…

Simply find an extension cord laying around your house and plug it in. Charging time is quick, and it will hold a charge for quite some time, even when not in use.

You will find negative and positive cables located on the side of the jump starter. These cables are 46 inches long.

Our experience…

Well, once you take this out of the box, you will immediately notice the high-quality carry case made from Ethylene Vinyl Acetate. It is a flexible yet extremely durable material and offers a considerable amount of protection.

Super small…

Once you open up the case, you will notice how neatly everything sits in it. The jump starter is tiny and could even fit in your back pocket. It has a 150psi detachable air compressor on hand. It features three different sized tips allowing for use on numerous types of vehicles.

The included 29-inch cables plug directly into the central power unit. They feature IntelliBoost technology that will provide a little extra power for use on vehicles that have a hard time starting.

Results may vary…

The integrated battery can jump a car up to 20 times on a single charge and provides up 1000 amps of power. We found this to vary greatly depending on the size of the vehicle, though.

Charging

It includes both wall and car charging adapters. The wall adapter is even compatible with 110 or 240-volt outlets. You can check the charging status and remaining power via the LCD display. Our test unit had a 75 percent charge when we turned it on. It charges quickly and holds its charge for a long time.

According to Rugged Geek, it will only lose one and two percent of its charge over a month. We let it sit unused for over a month, and the battery level only dropped 1 percent!

While on the topic of charging, you also can charge USB devices as well with the RG1000. It even also includes a set of adapters for charging your laptop.

We didn’t find these chargers to offer quick charge like performance, but they came in handy, nonetheless.
