This is all great for supporting the weight of the bike, but not so great for the wall.

Keep it outside…

The advertising hints at the CLUG being ideal for use inside the house or office. We don’t think so. The contact of the bike’s rear wheel on the wall is bound to leave dirty marks no matter how carefully you clean your bike and wheels. For this reason, we can’t see any other place for the CLUG other than the garage or in an outside space.

The CLUG fixes straight into the wall with just two screws. When attaching it to the wall, you’ll need to make sure that the rear wheel can make contact with the ground once the front wheel is in position.

Compatability…

It comes in a selection of five different sizes. These are suitable for tire widths between 23mm right up to a maximum of 69mm. The range is relatively comprehensive though it does not cover all bike tires. If you have a vintage bike with 19mm or 21mm tire, you’re out of luck. Similarly, fat bikes are out of luck too.

Because the only point of contact between the CLUG and the bike is via the tire, it eliminates any chance of potential damage to the wheels or frame. This is always a big plus.
