Something to ‘wet’ the appetite!
While the first edition did have some questions over its performance in those nasty wet and slippery moments, the latest version’s much improved circumferential tread grooves specifically address this.
Diverting water away from the central tread and reducing the risk of aquaplaning, increases its reliability in the wet. At the same time, its zig-zag cross tread pattern also improves its ability on snow, offering you much more confidence through the winter months.
More improvements just around the corner…
We’ve also seen a lot of feedback from those who upgraded to the LE2, claiming a noticeable improvement in cornering and better sound dampening. Not that the first version had issues, but Firestone really has made strides in finding that dry and wet season balance.
Even with some of the highest quality all season tires, performance can be lost in those really tough wet conditions, especially when in torrential rain. However, the consistency and reliability of the LE2, when switching quickly between dry and wet conditions, really is outstanding.

This meaty-looking tire brings excellent on-road and off-road reliability, along with top-notch mud tackling performance, but without the noise increase, you get with most mud-specific treads. This is a tire that promises to maintain consistent reliability when switching from tarmac to looser gravel and even more challenging muddy areas.
This tire is built for 4x4s that want to switch seamlessly between the highway and dirt track. It takes loose gravel, mud, and debris in its stride, while also offering a quiet and comfortable journey on those long highway rides.
Get a grip!
The grip and traction of the tread are designed around neat, attractive scalloped shoulders, a twin sidewall, and 3-plies. As a result, it’s almost totally puncture resistant and delivers that versatile dry, wet, and rugged terrain performance we look for in an all-season tire.
More comfort and control, and the rugged action-man look of these tires, are huge selling points. In fact, it’s one of the best looking all season tires on the market. However, it isn’t the most reliable option when facing long periods of ice and hardpack snow.

Their AT-S was not only a favorite with motoring reviewers, but it was also their best seller, and the G015 featured a lot of promised improvements.
Is it as good as they say?
While the G015 isn’t a mud tire or even an M/T hybrid, it does perform noticeably better on loose gravel and sand when compared to the AT-S.
